Project for the Balanstraße exhibition space, Munich, Germany
| In this project, Gislason placed a notice in
the window of Ausstellungsraum Balanstrasse,
inviting passers-by to enter the gallery (which was left unattended apart
from CCTV cameras) and look out at the
street through the large window and draw
or note down what they saw. A desk and drawing and writing materials were provided The results, which were concerned with the view of the street from the gallery, and not with what passers-by usually see, i.e. the gallery from the street, were put on display. |
